| Talent is a critical source of competitive advantage for today’s high-performance businesses. In the face of shrinking labor forces in developed economies, businesses will have to target the large talent pools in the emerging economies. It is estimated that an overwhelming 97 percent of the 438 million people who will join the global workforce by 2050 will be from developing countries. India represents a sea of diverse skills as it has one of the world’s largest and youngest populations. By understanding the characteristics of the various pools of talent in the country, corporations and policy makers can take proactive steps to nurture and grow these pools, eventually benefiting the people and the economy. |
